So your interested in knowing more about becoming a member of the organization. We want to welcome all nations of people to be part of what we are doing here in Pipestone and around the world. We do not feel that you can judge someone by the color of their skin or their tribal affiliation. Each of us has our own reasons for pursuing the path in life that we choose. RESOLUTION MAINTAINING THE GREAT PIPESTONE QUARRIES
FOR ALL INDIAN PEOPLE
WHEREAS, All Indian People have had access to the quarries for time immemorial;
AND WHEREAS, the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States and the American Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978 allow that Indian People have an innate right to practice their religion which includes access to sacred sites such as the Great Pipestone Quarries;
AND WHEREAS, on August 25, 1996, Adam Fortunate Eagle, the Spiritual Leader of the Keepers of the Sacred Tradition of Pipemakers, blessed all of the quarries of the Great Pipestone Quarries of Minnesota and re-designated them a sacred site for all Indian People;
AND WHEREAS, the Red Pipestone Pipes are a primary tool in the practice of many Indian religions;
AND WHEREAS, many pipemakers have made a sacred vow to be providers of the Red Pipestone Pipes;
AND WHEREAS, the President of the United States signed an Executive Order on May 24, 1996 to protect and preserve Indian religious practices; AND WHEREAS, the National Park Service and the Keepers of the Sacred Tradition of Pipemakers have kept the quarries for all Indian People as they have been for time immemorial;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Great Pipestone Quarries of Minnesota be declared a sacred site for all Indian People, with equal access to the quarries, to quarry the stone and to perform their ceremonies as they see fit for time immemorial.

Donation $25.00 a year This membership entitles you to a 10% discount in our gift shop and 20%-20% discounts on supplies like beads, leather, pipestone, and tools for carving. You are also invited to consign gift in our gift shop and on the net for a 25% commission which is paid after your item sells. We have a great yahoo group for Keepers members only where we talk about many subjects like pipemaking, spiritual matters, history and more. We also produce and mail a newsletter for members 4 times a year. $25.00 I wanted to set up something so that people could easily donate to the organization and at the same time specify what part of what we do they would like to see their money go. As you might know it cost money to run a business even a non-profit. All of our help is volunteer because there just is not enough money to hire help. We find ourselves so busy doing other important things we sometimes forget how important keeping the doors open is and so we have not done any grant writing in that direction. Thanks to your donations we can keep the doors open. the lights on and may someday be able to offer some kind of compensation to our ever dependable and hard working Volunteers. If you have ever talked with them you know what I mean. |

Price:$25.00 We have been donating pipes to Spiritual groups which volunteer in the prisons for 4 years. As time goes by the demand has increased greatly. We offer one pipe and a package of herbal smokes to each prison. The pipe is to be used within that facility for the benefit of the prisoners who would like to follow a different path in life. Usually we get a request from the head Chaplin or the Head of the Spiritual group who is working in that prison many times they are VIC's or Volunteers in Corrections. We think that this is a positive way to touch the lives of others and make this world a little better for all. Your donations are blessings which help us to continue this very special work.
